Three quarters of the encounter between Barcelona and Sant Andreu passed in a balanced battle. Before the last period, the rivals were at the same starting point – 10:10. Barcelona opened the fourth quarter with two goals for 12:10, while Adria Delgado scored his 5th goal 59 seconds from the end and Barcelona built a 13:10 lead. Sant Andreu’s 11th goal came too late.
Terrassa and Sabadell faced off in Terrassa’s pool. The home team had a 3:0 lead in the middle of the third quarter. Sabadell its first goal scored 2:50 before the end of the third quarter and then started climbing back step-by-step. The visitors came very close (4:5) in the 30th minute. But, quickly after that, Terrassa’s Alarcon found the net for the final score – 6:4.
Catalunya hosted Mediterrani and opened the match very well. After a goalless first period, Catalunya had a 4:3 lead at halftime. However, Mediterrani, the favourite in this match, dominated the second half and recorded a 10:6 victory.
Navarra defeated Tenerife after a hard battle – 7:6 to take its first three points and pushed Tenefire to the last place.
