Matchday 11 threw up just a single surprise, with BVSC falling to Szentes in Zuglo. Meanwhile, Dunaujvaros, FTC and UVSE all won
Dunaujvaros dominated Third District in a 17-7 victory powered by the impressive scoring of Geraldine Mahieu and Anna Mandula (both with 4 goals), while Ferencvaros easily defeated Szeged 24-7, with Greta Gurisatti leading the way with 5 goals for her team.
UVSE took down Gyor in a dominant 15-3 win, while Szentes earned a surprising 12-10 away victory over BVSC, led by Viktoria Varga’s 4 goals, narrowing the gap between the two sides to just 3 points.
The game between Tatabanya and Eger, which was due to be played today, was postponed.
The top four Hungarian teams are all in European action next weekend. Dunaujvaros travels to Spain to face Mediterrani, while FTC will receive a Spanish side in Budapest (Terrassa). UVSE and Eger, still in their ties, face Greek opposition in the Euro Cup.

Dunaujvaros decimated the Third District in a high-octane game during Matchday Eleven. Attila Mihok’s powerhouse squad dominated with a thunderous 17-7 victory, powered by the relentless scoring of Geraldine Mahieu and Anna Mandula (both with four goals).
The game was over before it had even begun, with Dunaujvaros surging to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter alone, with Mahieu and Mandula each burying two goals in quick succession.
Despite a valiant effort from Panna Kudella, who scored twice for Keruleti, they were unable to close the gap. The league leaders took complete control in the second half, securing all three points with ease.
Dunaujvaros remain untouchable at the top of the league, still undefeated. Meanwhile, Keruleti’s losing streak extends to four games, and they’ll need to step up their game if they hope to avoid a fifth loss against UVSE in the upcoming matchday.
FTC Telekom 24 – 7 Szeged (10-2, 5-2, 3-1, 6-2)
FTC: B. Neszmely, B.Vosseberg 1, D. Lengyel 2, G. Gurisatti 5, P. Pocze 3, T. Farkas 3, L. Nagy 1, A. Illes 3, Z. Awad 2, P. Petik 1, D. Toth Csabai 1, D. Domsodi 1, E. Millot 1, L. Greso

Ferencvaros made quick work of Szeged in a 24-7 blowout. Greta Gurisatti led the charge with five goals, but it was truly a team effort as Pocze, Farkas, and Illes all notched hat-tricks of their own.
The game started with a competitive edge as Szeged kept pace for the first four minutes, trailing by only one goal (3-2). But that all changed when Ferencvaros unleashed an eight-goal barrage, featuring a hat-trick from Greta Gurisatti, and effectively ended the game as a contest (11-2).
The second half was more of the same, with Szeged unable to generate much action for FTC’s substitute keeper Luca Greso. Anna Illes stole the show in the second half with her hat-trick in a game that was otherwise lacking in excitement.
BVSC-Zuglo 10 – 12 Szentes (3-2, 3-3, 2-5, 2-2)

Szentes have earned a surprise 12-10 away victory over BVSC, narrowing the gap between them and their opponents to just three points.
25-year-old Viktoria Varga led her team to a shock victory in the Hungarian capital with four goals, while Vivian Bonca netted twice. Szentes’ Russians, Diana Sasonova and Viktoriia Dankina, also played key roles in the victory, with two goals each at important junctures of the game.
At the half, the home team was ahead 6-5 thanks to a pair of goals from BVSC’s left-handed Lili Urvari late in the half.
But a magnificent effort from Szentes in the third flipped the momentum of the game, and two strikes from Diana Samsonova, as well as well taken efforts from Varga, Dankina and Bonca gave Szentes a 10-8 lead heading into the last.
Varga then made it 11-8 half-way through the final quarter, giving Szentes something to really hold onto. BVSC huffed and puffed, and grabbed two goals in two attacks to put the pressure on, but Dankina put the nail in the coffin, to secure a huge win for the Saints – who have now won five of their last six matches.
The defeat for BVSC is the fifth of their season, and their first defeat to a team currently ranked lower than them in the OB I standings.
UVSE 15 – 3 GYVSE Gyor (3-1, 4-1, 6-0, 2-1)
UVSE: A. Magyari, T. Aubeli, E. Macsai 3, Z. Koka 1, G. Szucs 1, K. Finta 1, V. Baksa 1, K. Farago 1, P. Szegedi 1, Z. Lendvay, N. Golopencza, K. Peresztegi-Nagy 3, R. Irmes 2, S. Golopencza

UVSE ended the week on a high note with a decisive 13-3 victory over Gyor. Hat-tricks from Eszter Macsai and Kinga Peresztegi-Nagy powered Ujpest to victory.
Gyor took the lead early in the first minutes (Vaszari), but the Lilacs grabbed the next four scores to resume normality.
Midway through the second period, Monika Szedlak brought the score to a close 4-2, but over the next fifteen minutes, UVSE took control and unleashed an impressive 11-goal barrage against the league’s weakest defence, solidifying their victory.
Adding to the excitement, 17-year-old Kamilla Finta made her senior team debut with a goal, following in the footsteps of Sara Keszthelyi who scored her first goal last week.
Next weekend, UVSE will face Ethnikos in the second leg of their Euro Cup quarter-final in Piraeus, with the score tied at 10-10 after the first leg.
