Since assuming leadership of the U.S. men’s national water polo team in 2013, Dejan Udovičić has been instrumental in revitalizing the program. Building upon his success with Serbia, where he secured 17 medals, Udovičić has guided Team USA to significant milestones, notably achieving a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics—their first Olympic podium finish in men’s water polo in 16 years.
The key aspect of this resurgence is the emergence of young talents like the Dodd brothers, Chase and Ryder, who have made remarkable strides in their development. Additionally, goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg has been instrumental in the team’s recent successes, providing a strong defensive presence.
With the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics on the horizon, the blend of experienced leadership and rising stars positions Team USA as a formidable contender on the international stage.
