Martina Miceli, an Olympic champion and one of Italyâs greatest water polo legends, continues to solidify her legacy both in and out of the pool.
A cornerstone of the Italian national team during her playing days, Miceliâs accolades include an Olympic gold medal in 2004 with the Setterosa and six additional major medals from World and European Championships. Since transitioning to coaching in 2012, she has continued to collect silverware, guiding Orizzonte to multiple Italian titles, Coppa Italia trophies, and European triumphs.
This past season, Miceliâs squad successfully defended their Italian Championship title after a thrilling final series against Plebiscito Padova, showcasing her ability to keep Orizzonte at the top in an increasingly competitive landscape.
