Noisy-le-Sec’s winning streak has ended. Tourcoing beat Parisians pretty convincingly in the derby of Day 7.
Meanwhile, Barceloneta won its first trophy in the season. The Spanish champion clinched the Catalonia Cup (Copa Catalunya). The seventh round in Hungary was completed. The Serbian club played in the national cup.
2024 French League, Day 7
Tourcoing, the home team in the derby game, gained a 5:2 lead in the first quarter. Noisy cut the deficit with two quick goals in the 10th minute (4:5). However, Tourcoing’s defense, with the goalkeeper Branislav Mitrovic, kept Noisy in the following 11 minutes. The hosts scored four goals in that interval and jumped to 9:4. Tourcoing maintained a five-goal difference until the end – 14:9. Captain Charles Canonne netted three goals for Tourcoing. Noisy’s center-forward Emil Bjorch found the net three times, too.
Marseille easily beat Taverny 18:6 with four goals from Pierre-Frederic Vanpeperstraete. Antonio Buha scored four in Strasbourg’s 19:8 victory over Nice. Pays d’Aix earned a very important away win over Montpellier – 14:11. Javier Gorria and Alexis Drahe combined ten goals for the winning team (each scored five). Reims beat Sete after a penalty shootout.

2023/24 Catalonia Cup
Barceloneta won its 8th consecutive and 16th Copa Catalunya in a total.
Barceloneta had a great start in the final match, played in Manresa, scoring three unanswered goals in the first four minutes. Sabadell leveled the score in the third quarter (5:5), but Barceloneta entered the second half leading 6:5, while it increased the margin to three by the end of the third quarter (9:6). Sabadell came close with goals from Valera and Van Ijperen (8:9). However, Barceloneta restored a 2-goal lead in the 28th minute after Marc Larumbe converted a 6 on 4 (10:8). Immediately after, Valera made it 9:10, but Sabadell failed to equalize.
Scorers for Barceloneta: Perrone (2), Larumbe (2), Biel (2), Bustos, Tahull, Sanahuja and Famera. Sabadell: Valera (3), Barroso (3), Averka (2) and Van Ijperen.
Felipe Perrone was voted the MVP of the final.
Barcelona won the bronze medal with a convincing 13:5 victory over Sant Andreu. Victor Andrade contributed to the win with five goals.

2023/24 Hungarian League, Day 7
Szolnok defeated Honved 8:6 in the last match of the seventh round. After a balanced first half (3:3), Szolnok built a 5:3 in the third period. Honved leveled the score twice during the fourth quarter (5:5, 6:6). Szolnok secured the victory with two goals (Gergo Kovacs and David Jansik) in the last 136 seconds. Honved suffered the first loss in this season of the Hungarian League after five straight wins.

2023/24 Serbian Cup
The eighth-finals of the national Cup have been played in Serbia this week.
Favorites, Vojvodina, Valis and Sabac, recorded wins and qualified for the quarterfinals. They joined Crvena Zvezda, Novi Beograd, Partizan and Radnicki, the semifinalists of the 2023 Serbian Cup, which qualified for the Round of 8 directly. The eighth participant in the quarterfinals will be known this evening after the match Banjica – Proleter.
