The Montenegro team that will compete at the European Championships in Croatia (January 4 – 16) is composed mainly of members of foreign clubs.
Vladimir Gojkovic, the head coach, announced the European Championships roster today.
Eleven players are members of the foreign clubs.
One of the four players who come from the Montenegrin League is experienced Drasko Brguljan. He has not played at the major competitions since the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Brguljan returned to Primorac this summer.
Besides Brguljan, goalkeeper Dejan Lazovic, who missed this summer’s actions, returns to the national team.
Compared to the previous big tournament, the World Championship in Fukuoka, Savona’s Bogdan Djurdjic and goalkeeper Lazar Andric are not among the picked „Sharks”.

The Montenegrins were drawn into Group A of the Europeans. Their rivals in the group in Dubrovnik will be Spain, host Croatia, and France.
