Two Olympic champions who missed the 2025 World Championships have made their return to the Serbian team for the European Championships in Belgrade.
Nikola Dedovic, who was sidelined last year due to injury, and Radomir Drasovic are included on the 15-player roster announced by head coach Uros Stevanovic this evening.
There is one debutant among the selected players. Goalkeeper Milan Glusac, who has displayed excellent performances in the last year and a half wearing Novi Beograd’s cap, will play at a big competition for the first time in his career.
Four players who participated in the 2025 World Championships are not among the picked: Murisic, Milojevic, Vapenski, and goalkeeper Dobozanov. The latter two were not called up for the preparations this winter.
In addition to Dedovic and Drasovic, Nikola Lukic is back on the team after he didn’t make the final cut for last summer’s World Championships in Singapore.
