The best Greek teams – Olympiacos, Vouliagmeni, Apollon, Peristeri all recorded convincing wins in the third round of the national championships.
Most of the games were lopsided contests, but there were exciting encounters. Panathinaikos and Chios shared the points after a big battle (9:9). PAOK edged out Glyfada (10:9), for its first win in the season.

Olympiacos added three new points to its tally, but head coach Igor Milanovic wasn’t satisfied with an 8:2 victory over Ydraikos. “We should forget this game as soon as possible”, Milanovic said after the win. The champion’s defense worked excellently, but there were a lot of mistakes in the attack. Still, Olympiacos proved that it was far better than its rival.
The most exciting duel of the day was the encounter between Panathinaikos and Chios. Panathinaikos controlled the match for most of the time and had a 7:3 lead. However, Chios managed to come back, and level at 8:8. Panathinaikos was very close to a victory. It led 9:8, but Chios’ Matthew Halajian scored an equalizer with 22 seconds to go and his team won the first point in the season.
Ethnikos beat AEK easier than expected (15:7). Panionios defeated Nireas Chalandriou. Panionios, the visiting team in this match, dominated in the first half and built a 8:2 lead. The second half turned into a scoring festival, but Panionios maintained a 6-goal difference (16:10).

Apollon Smyrnis kept 1st place in the group with a comfortable victory over Palaio Faliro. Besides Apollon, Vouliagmeni had a perfect record, but it played one match fewer. Vouliagmeni trashed Ilysiakos 17:7. Peristeri didn’t have big problems in beating Chania.
PAOK achieved its first win in the season, beating Glyfada, which entered the second quarter with a 2:1 lead But, PAOK, with an outstanding Nikola Milradovic dominated the middle two periods and built a 7:4 advantage and went to 8:4 early in the fourth. However, Glyfada cut the deficit with an outstanding 4:1 run and trailed only by a goal (8:9) deep into the fourth period. But, at 02:48 Charalambopoulos scored for 10:8. Glyfada’s ninth goal came just five seconds from the end.
