Vasas defeated Honved 8:6 in Honved’s pool in Koer Street and returned the series to the Komjadi pool.
The winner of the next game, scheduled for Friday, will play in the qualifications for the 2024 Champions League.

The game was a real rollercoaster. Both teams had big ups and downs.
Vasas entered the second game of the third-place playoffs without Sava Randjelovic, who was red-carded in the first match, but the visitors started excellently. After six minutes, the visitors led 3:0. Honved struck back strongly – with five unanswered goals to earn a 5:3 advantage at halftime.
However, Vasas was able for a great comeback. The heroes of Vasas’s win were goalkeeper Branislav Mitrovic, who was at a high level throughout the match (17 saves), and especially in the second half. Vasas’ defense let Honved score only one goal after the middle break. As for the attack, left-handed Ivan Nagaev was in the leading role. The Russian scored four goals in a row in the first 12 minutes of the second half and put Vasas in front – 7:5. Veteran Norbert Hosnyanszky, who will retire on Friday, halved the gap in the 22nd minute (6:7). Still, Vasas and Nagaev had the last laugh. Nagaev scored his fifth goal with 01:43 seconds left on the clock and decided everything.
