Olympic silver medalist Greece is one of the eight teams participating in the World Cup Men’s Final next week.
The team secured second place in their group in Podgorica, paving the way for a quarterfinals match against Hungary. The winner of that game will advance to face the stronger team from the Italy-Romania match. Theodoros Vlachos, the head coach, has selected a squad of 15 players for the tournament, which will be held in Los Angeles from June 30th to July 2nd. The roster is similar to the one used in the World Cup Division 1 tournament in Podgorica, with the exception of Aristides Chalyvopoulos, who has taken the place of Nicolaos Gkillas from Olympiacos.
