The draws for both tournaments at the World Championships in Fukuoka have been made in Athens today.
There will be a lot of exciting games. It seems that both tournaments will be more balanced than before. There are a lot of favorites for the title in the men’s competition.
The latest results in the World League and the World Cup show that the female team of the USA isn’t invincible and as dominant as before.
The national teams of Spain will feature in both derbies that will open the tournaments.
The highlight of Day 1 in the men’s tournament will be the clash between Spain, the world champion, and Serbia, the Olympic champion. Even though many of the players who won the gold with Serbia at the 2021 Olympic Games retired, it should be an interesting clash.
Spain and the Netherlands will face off in the derby of Day 1 in the female competition.
