FINA decided to change the format of the European Qualifications for the World League Super Final.
The remaining three competition days of the qualifications for men will be held at a single tournament that will take place in January (8- 10). The host hasn’t been determined yet.
According to the revised calendar that was published two months ago, the remaining three days were scheduled for January 12 (quarterfinals), March 9 (semifinals), and April 13 (final). But, FINA shortened the qualifications to reduce the number of travels and minimize the risk of spreading the coronavirus among water polo players and athletes.
Eight teams that finished 1st and 2nd in their respective groups of the European qualifications will play at the tournament in January. The quarterfinals will be played on January 8. The semifinals will be played a day later. The matches for the final ranking are scheduled for January 10.

Also, the remaining matches of the European qualifications for ladies will probably be played in a single tournament.
