Denis Strelezkij was at the heart of the drama in Germany this weekend for two reasons.
First, his last-second goal propelled Spandau 04 to a 15-14 victory over Waspo 98 Hannover in the German Cup final. Shortly after the game, it was announced that Strelezkij would be leaving Spandau to join their rivals, Waspo Hannover.
The significant announcement was made via the social media channels of Waspo's coach and owner, Karsten Seehafer.
The Russian-born German international, who has just turned 26, has been a key player for Spandau over the past five seasons. He made his international debut in 2017.
Heading the other way, Serbian duo Nikola Kojic and Zoran Bozovic have both signed for Spandau, pending an announcement from the club.Â
