Luca Damonte is Savona's top target this summer, with the Italian international destined to move from FTC after the conclusion of the Champions League Final Four competition in Malta in just under two weeks.
Damonte, 32, has fallen down the pecking order at Ferencvaros since Dusan Mandic's arrival late last summer, and his boyhood club Savona, where he began his senior professional career, is hopeful to bring the left-hander home.
Between his three previous stints at Savona since his debut back in 2007, Damonte has also played for Brescia, Sport Management, and Telimar. In 2021, the Italian joined Ferencvaros and has played a solid role in the club's three consecutive national titles.
There were rumors regarding the future of FTC's other foreign players, notably Stylianos Argyropoulos and Dusan Mandic, but both will now stay in Budapest.
It is unclear as of yet whether Denes Varga will continue his career after the Paris Olympic Games.
