Last weekend, the 13th round of the Portuguese League was played. The top three ranked clubs – Vitoria, Parades and Fluvial – were merciless to the teams that are at the bottom of the table.
Titleholder Vitoria beat Academica with a 39-goal margin! Vitoria celebrated a 43:4 victory. But, it must be mentioned that Academica had only nine players in the team. Parades blew away Cascais 28:6, while Fluvial trashed Aminata 33:5. Cascais entered the match with eleven players, while Aminata had ten players.
Alges defeated Sporting 12:8 and continued a neck-and-neck race with 3rd-placed Fluvial. Both teams have 37 points, but Fluvial has better goal-difference.
The most exciting match was an encounter between Pacense and Povoense. Pacense recorded a 12:11 win and caught 5th-placed Sporting in points.
