Since the end of August, Partizan has had the new leadership.
The new management appointed a new head coach.
Milos Korolija (38), a former Partizan player and a national team member, has become a new head coach.
Korolija played for Partizan for most of his career. He was one of the best players of the 2011 Champions League final game when Partizan defeated Pro Recco. He played in Hungary, Italy, Romania, and he finished his career at Partizan in 2019. In the last season, he was the coach of Partizan’s “B” team.
New general manager Nikola Kuljaca said that the General Board had decided on the new coach unanimously.
A few weeks ago, Igor Milanovic was appointed as a head coach. But, that decision was made by the former management and administration, that were dismissed on August 30.
At the end of the last week, the former management handed over the keys of the office and of the pool to the new leadership.
Yesterday, all coaches and players started to train in Partizan’s pool Banjica again. In the past few months, all age categories of the club worked in another swimming pool in Belgrade.
Korolija is Partizan’s fourth head coach in the last ten months. Stefan Ciric (who coaches Noisy-le-Sec now) started the season. The former administration dismissed Ciric in December. Marko Basic replaced Ciric. In August, Igor Milanovic came. Korolija started to work a few weeks before the start of the season.
Partizan’s new Board and administration have a difficult task to solve numerous problems. The club is heavily in debt and has been in crisis for years. Partizan will play with a very young team in the next season.
