Sandro Sukno is the winner of the first Total Player Award back in 2017. Unfortunately, heart problems put a sudden and definite stop to his playing career, just a few months after being crowned the best player in the world. But he refused to leave his beloved water polo world behind.
After an extraordinary athletic career at VK Jug, VK Primorje and Pro Recco, as well as lots of international medals with Croatia, he launched his coaching journey. He started as a member of Croatia’s national team staff at the World League Final Eight in Belgrade and is now head coach of VK Primorac Kotor.
