Noisy-le-Sec, which is still without first-pick goalkeeper Stefan Zivojinovic, opened the match in Tourcoing in a great way. The Parisians had a 9:4 lead at halftime. Drazen Kujacic put Tourcoing in front in the 27th minute (12:11). Shortly after, Avena doubled the home team’s advantage (13:11). After Tourcoing’s 9:1 series, Noisy’s Antonio Petkovic scored for 12:13. Mathieu Peisson equalized (13:13) with 03:34 minutes remaining on the clock. It was the last goal in the match, and the rivals shared the points.
Strasbourg is in 2nd place, with three points more, but also with one match more than 3rd-placed Noisy. Strasbourg visited Montpellier. It built a vast 11:4 before the fourth quarter. In the 26th minute, the visitors went to 12:4. Montpellier dominated the last eight minutes (7:2), but it was too late. Strasbourg, led by center-forward Sasa Misic (6 goals) recorded a 13:11 victory.
A week after winning the French Cup, Marseille continued its winning streak in the league, with a comfortable 19:8 victory over Reims. Olympic champion Andrija Prlainovic, who missed the French Cup, returned to the team and scored four goals.
Pays d’Aix beat Sete 15:10. In the middle of the second quarter, it stood 5:5. Then, Pays d’Aix took control. It built a 13:7 lead by the end of the third period and secured the win.
Douai bettered last-placed Nice.
