The Greek Championships ended, and both finalists, champion Olympiacos and runner-up Vouliagmeni, continued preparing for the Final Eight, but for the transfer market too.
One of the latest pieces of information is that Greece's center-forward Dimitrios Nikolaidis (24) will probably move from Vouliagmeni to Olympiacos.
He played for Olympiacos between 2017 and 2019, when he went to Italy. Nikolaidis spent two seasons at Brescia (2019 – 2021), before moving to Spandau 04. Last summer, he returned to Greece, but not to Olympiacos. He signed a one-year contract with Vouliagmeni.
As things stand now, Nikolaidis' episode at Vouliagmeni will be over after the Champions League Final Eight and he will wear Olympiacos’ cap from the following season, along with Luka Loncar, instead of experienced Greek aces Konstantinos Morukis and Christodolous Kolomvos.
Nikolaidis has been a regular member of the Greek national team since last year and won bronze at the World Championships.
He won several domestic trophies with Olympiacos and the 2018 LEN Champions League. Playing for Brescia, Nikolaidis won the 2021 Italian League and bronze in the Champions League in the same year.
