Croatian champion Jadran Split has confirmed new signings.
Loren Fatovic, Jug's captain in the previous two seasons, and Montenegro's left-handed attacker Djuro Radovic who was a member of Olympiacos, but was on loan in Jadran Herceg Novi in the past few months, will wear Jadran's caps next season.
At the same time, official sources from the club confirmed something that was known for a while. Croatia's center-forward Josip Vrlic is Jadran's new player. In the past two seasons, he played for Radnicki Kragujevac.
The Split-based team has done four great jobs in the transfer market, proving that it will have high goals in the next season in the domestic competitions, Regional League and the Champions League. As the champion of Croatia, it will have a wild card for the Champions League.
Jadran brought three European champions, who won gold with Croatia at the ECH last year. Before Vrlic's and Fatovic's signings, the arrival of Konstantin Kharkov was confirmed. The Russian with Croatian citizenship returned to Jadran from Brescia.
Djuro Radovic is considered one of the best young attackers in Europe.
There were just a few departures from Jadran. The MVP of the 2023 Croatian League, Rino Buric, moved to Jug, Andjelo Setka retired. The club didn't renew the contract with Niksa Dobud. All other key players from the previous season will stay at Jadran.
As for Jug, the departure of Fatovic will affect the team's performance. He was not only a captain but a true leader and the team's "brain." Konstantinos Kakaris, the center-forward, left Dubrovnik to join Pro Recco. However, two new players have been confirmed, Rino Buric and Sergi Cabanas, a world champion with Spain. Fans of Jug were pleased to hear that Maro Jokovic had signed a new contract.
