Spandau 04 and ASC Duisburg continued their winning streak in the German League.
Both teams recorded convincing wins in the 4th round. But, their matches were completely different. Spandau trashed OSC Potsdam. ASC Duisburg scored 24 goals in the game against Ludwigsburg, but it conceded even 17.

Games with many goals aren’t unusual in the German League, especially in Spandau’s and Hannover’s wins in the matches against the clubs from the lower half of the table.. However, a match with 41 goals is really a rarity. ASC Duisburg beat Ludwigsburg 24:17. Like they played a handball game.
Duisburg, encouraged by a win over Waspo Hannover in the 3rd round, was the favorite, but Ludwigsburg, which has played well in the Euro cups, didn’t carry a white flag. In the middle of the first quarter, the teams were tied at 2:2. By the end of the first quarter, Duisburg earned a 3-goal lead (5:2 and 6:3) and stretched the margin to five in the second quarter (8:3, 9:4, 10:5, 11:6). Still, the hosts didn’t secure a win yet, because Ludwigsburg put a lot of effort into comeback. The visitors reduced the gap to two (11:13 and 12:14). But, ASC re-earned a five-goal lead before the last break (19:14). It opened the fourth quarter with two goals for a comfortable 21:14 advantage. Lukas Kuppers contributed to ASC’s victory with eight goals. Sergio Prieto netted six for Ludwigsburg.
Spandau 04 and Waspo 98 Hannover had light pieces of training against Neukolln and OSC Potsdam before new challenges in the Champions League.
White Sharks Hannover recorded its third victory in the season. They beat Esslingen thanks to a comeback made in the second half.
