Quinto recorded its first victory in the 2020/21 Serie A1. The Genoa-based team controlled the match against Salerno in the first half and even had a 3-goal lead in the 15th minute (7:4). But, Quinto managed to come back and to equalize before the last break (7:7). Still, Quinto secured the win with three quick goals in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter – 10:7. However, Salerno is still in 2nd place in Group A, because it defeated Quinto by four goals in the 2nd round (11:7).
Brescia showed no mercy to Roma in Group D. All field players of the visiting team found the net in this match, while Jacopo Alesiani topped the scorers’ list with five goals
Ortigia continued its winning streak in Group C, thanks to a great comeback in the fourth quarter. Lazio earned a 2-goal advantage in the opening quarter (4:2), Ortigia leveled the score by halftime, but the hosts entered the last period with a slim lead (7:6). However, Ortigia dominated the fourth period and recorded a convincing 11:7 victory.
Posillipo and Metanopoli shared the points in an exciting match of Group D. Posillipo led for most of the time, but Metanpoli went ahead with two goals in the fourth period for 7:6. Posillipo’s Manuel DI Martire scored an equalizer a minute and a half before the end. Savona found it easy to beat Florentia, which is still with no points.
