Barcelona, which released ten players this summer, continued bringing reinforcement.
The former European champion confirmed four new signings in a short announcement. Three young and one very experienced player arrived at Barcelona.
Two of them came from Sabadell– attacker Lluc Bertran and Argentina's defender Argentine Ramiro Veich. Both won the LEN Euro Cup with Sabadell in 2022. Veich (34) played for Sabadell between 2021 and 2023. Before that, he wore the cap of Mataro. Bertran (22), the player who is the future of Spanish water polo, also arrived at Sabadell from Mataro, but he did it a year before (in 2020). Bertran won the silver medal at the 2018 World U18 Championships with Spain.
The other tandem of fresh newcomers moved from Mediterrani – defender Pau Linares (21) and attacker Pol Prat (22). Linares, who started playing water polo at Barceloneta, was Bertan’s teammate in Spain’s youth team that won silver at the 2018 Worlds in Szombathely (Hungary).
Ten days ago, Barcelona revealed the first quarter of newcomers.
