The 2023-24 Montenegrin champions, Primorac Kotor, continue to strengthen their squad with another quality signing.
Today, the club announced the acquisition of 25-year-old Georgian left-hander Nika Shushiasvili from the Greek side Apollon Smyrnis.
Primorac Kotor, as they prepare for their return to the Champions League, has already secured the signatures of several key players, including Dusan Matkovic, Italian goalkeeper Francesco Massaro, Savo Cetkovic, and Luka Murisic.
Shushiasvili, a rising star in the sport, has achieved a lot in his relatively short career. As a teenager, he moved to Serbia in 2017 to play for Sabac, and later transferred to Spandau Berlin in Germany. Due to limited playing opportunities there, he returned to his home country to join Dinamo Tblisi, before eventually signing with Beograd in 2020. He spent the last year with Apollon Smyrnis.
In recent years, Shushiasvili has made significant contributions to his national team in international competitions. He played a crucial role in securing a commendable 10th place at the World Championships in Budapest in 2022, and an impressive eighth place finish at the European Championships in Split later that same year.
