Marseille started slowly in the match against Douai and let the visitors take a 2:0 lead. In the middle of the second period, Douai had a slim 4:3 advantage. After that, Marseille netted four goals in a row to earn a 7:4 advantage. But, Douai didn’t surrender and cut the deficit to 6:7 (21st minute). However, the reigning champion retook control and secured a comfortable 13:8 win.
A day after the game against Douai, Marseille welcomed Montpellier in the postponed game of the 11th round. Ugo Crousillat and Andrija Prlainovic had a day off, but the home team beat the opponent with ease – 11:5 and extended its winning streak to 17 games.
Strasbourg led throughout the match against Sete. In the third period, the former champion scored six and conceded only two goals, which was crucial for a 6-goal victory. Strasbourg had secured 2nd place and directly qualified for the semifinals before the duel with Sete.
Montpellier missed the opportunity to surprise Tourcoing. At halftime, Montpellier had an 8:7 lead. However, Tourcoing dominated the third period. The visitors entered the final quarter with a 13:9 advantage and maintained the 4-goal difference until the final buzzer.
Noisy-le-Sec was too strong for Nice and kept 3rd place before the last league round. In the 18th round, Noisy will play against Montpellier. If the Parisians win all three points, they will enter the playoffs as 3rd-placed.
A good start put Pays d’Aix on the right track in the match in Reims. Midway through the second period, the visitors had a 5:1 advantage. Deep into the third quarter, Reims halved the deficit (6:8). Still, Aix, led by Edo Khasz, didn’t let the hosts come back.
