The Championship of Greece still isnβt finished. The Federation plans to complete the competitions, but the players of Greek best clubs have been mentioned in official news and rumors about transfers for a while.
According to well informed Italian sources, Brescia aims to bring Croatia’s left-handed goal-getter Maro Jokovic, who is one of the key players in Olympiacos.
Last summer, Jokovic moved to Olympiacos from Jug. Currently, he is in Croatia, but not for long.
“It would not be professional to talk about the clubs which contacted me. At the moment, the only thing that is certain is that I will return to Greece in a few days. I am focused on the successful end of the season with Olympiacos. After that, I can talk about the future and next season”, Jokovic said for Total Waterpolo.
Brescia will have a strong team next season. It has already signed contracts with Edoardo Di Somma (Pro Recco), Angelos Vlachopoulos (Eger), and Vincenzo Dolce (Sport Management), but the list of the reinforcements still isnβt complete. If they manage to sign Jokovic, they would definitely become a serious threat to Pro Recco.
Jokovic has played for Jug Dubrovnik for most of his career. He was born in Dubrovnik 32 years ago. Jokovic won two Champions Leagues with the Dubrovnik-based club (2006 and 2016), 13 trophies in the national league, four Croatian Cupsβ¦ He has three trophies of the European champion for clubs in his treasury since he won the Champions League with Pro Recco in the season 2014/15. Jokovic was the Olympic champion with Croatia in 2012, and has two gold medals from the World Championships (2007 and 2017), the gold at the 2010 European Championshipsβ¦
Two Croats have played for Olympiacos this season. Ivan Buljubasic already left the club.
