The second round of the Croatian League started ten days ago, with the match Jadran Split – POSK (21:4), but it still hasn’t been finished.
Some encounters have been postponed due to the participation of the Croatian teams in the LEN competitions or other reasons.
Three games have been played so far. There were no surprises and exciting matches. Favorites cruised to wins. Yesterday evening, Mladost demolished KPK (18:7). A few days before that game, Primorje knocked down Medvescak (21:4).
The first match of Round 3 was scheduled for today evening. Jug was supposed to host Jadran Split. But, the game has been postponed until further notice because several players of Jadran tested positive for coronavirus, which is still present…

Mladost played without first goalkeeper Jurlina and leftie Mijic, but it had no problems in beating KPK Korcula. The hosts earned a 5:0 lead, and KPK scored its first goal in the 16th minute, from a penalty shot, but Mladost regained a 5-goal lead immediately. In the second half, Mladost’s defense wasn’t at the same level as in the first, but the Zagreb-based side played very well in the attack.
A few days earlier, Primorje stormed past Medvescak.

Qualification for F4 of Croatian Cup start
This weekend, the qualifications for the Final Four of the Croatian Cup will be held in Sibenik and Zagreb. Four teams will play in each of the two groups.
Only 1st-placed teams will advance to the Final Four. The finalists of the 2021/22 Croatian Cup – Jadran Split (winner) and Jug AO – are, according to the new rules, directly qualified for the F4.
Group A (Sibenik): Solaris, Primorje, POSK, KPK Korcula
Group B (Zagreb): Mladost,Mornar, Medvescak, Zadar 1952.
