As expected, Pro Recco and Brescia will face off in the final of the playoffs of the Italian Championship.
Both teams beat their respective rivals with ease in the 2nd leg of the semifinals.

Pro Recco cruised to its 15th consecutive final of the Italian Championship. The eight-time European champion left no chance to Savona in the return match. Early in the second period, the hosts had a 6:0 lead, while it earned a double-digit advantage before the middle break (11:1). Until the end of the match, Recco, led by Di Fulvio and Aicardi, stretched the margin of its win to 15.
Brescia had a little bit harder task than Recco, as it faced Telimar. But, Brescia, also, cruised to the final. After a 12:7 victory in Palermo, Brescia defeated Telimar at home by seven goals. The hosts earned a 1:0 lead after just 27 seconds of play. Telimar equalized shortly after. But, by the middle of the first period, Brescia built a 3-goal advantage (4:1). The home team controlled the match and its win wasn’t in danger.
The final (best-of-five) will start on May 19. Pro Recco will host the first and the second match (May 19 and 20). The third match will be played in Brescia, as well as the fourth game (if needed). If the series extends to the 5th game, the last game will be held in a neutral field.
