Alex Bowen looks set to add another major league stamp to his passport, with a move to Sabadell likely this summer.
The 30-year-old sniper, currently with French side Noisy-Le-Sec, based in eastern Paris, is one of the top goal-scorers in world water polo and a leading member of the United States national team.
Bowen has been playing in Europe for a while, and if the move to Sabadell comes to fruition, he will be competing in his sixth different major European league, having previously played for Miskolc , Mladost Zagreb (winning the Regional League in 2019), Apollon Smyrnis, Partizan, and his current club Cercle 93 (aka Noisy-le-Sec).
During his college days, Bowen racked up over 200 goals for Stanford Cardinal.
A two-time Olympian from Rio and Tokyo, Bowen will be a key player in Paris this summer—a city he knows well. His national team highlights with Team USA include two gold medals at the Pan American Games and a World League silver medal.
Bowen is renowned for his rock-hard shot and his 'chopping' celebration when he inevitably scores.
