Branislav Mitrovic, the 38-year-old Serbian goalkeeper and captain of Serbia’s national water polo team, has won the LEN Cup with Vasas. However, he will be changing clubs and joining Radnicki this summer, according to reports.
Mitrovic has an impressive track record, having won all major competitions with Serbia, including the Olympic Games in 2016 and 2021, the European Championship in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018, as well as the World Championship in 2015.
After the transfer of Lazar Dobozanov to Novi Beograd, Radnicki has been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper and Mitrovic appears to be the answer to their search. Mitrovic has previously played for Vojvodina, Partizan, Ferencvaros, Debrecen, Eger, and OSC, before joining Vasas.
Meanwhile, Vasas has been active in the transfer market as well and is reportedly set to sign goalkeeper Marton Levai from OSC. Unofficial sources suggest that Radnicki has offered Mitrovic a contract, and the Serbian goalkeeper is said to be interested in signing with the club.
