Sabadell has announced their first summer signing - Dutch goalkeeper Laura Aarts.
The 27-year-old Dutch international joins from CN Mataro.
Aarts, a two-time European and one-time World Champion, is the Netherlands' first-choice goalkeeper. Despite retiring from international duty in 2020 and missing out on the Tokyo Olympics, she returned a year later and continues to be one of the world's best goalkeepers.
In joining Sabadell, Aarts will be among the three Sabadell signings joining from Mataro, alongside Rita Keszthelyi and Simone Van de Kraats.
After beginning her career in the Netherlands with Ede Polar Bears and USZC, Aarts spent four successful years with the Hungarian side Dunaujvaros (2017-2020 & 2022-2023), clinching the LEN Trophy and the LEN Super Cup in 2018.
