Media sources in Serbia are reporting that one of the country's best young players, Nikola Kojic, has signed a contract with the German champions, Spandau 04 Berlin.
The sought-after nineteen-year-old, currently with the Serbian side Radnički Kragujevac, was no doubt enticed to the German capital by their Serbian head coach, Vladimir Markovic, according to the local media, Kragujsport.

Kojic, as reported by Total Waterpolo, was caught up in a difficult situation when he arrived in Kragujevac with his former club, Partizan, which was in dispute with Radnički over the player's contract. This could have seen Kojic miss out on a year of development. Fortunately for Kojic, and Serbian water polo, the situation was resolved, allowing Kojic to play for Radnički - which he has done over sixty times, most recently two months ago against Novi Beograd.
Whatever club Kojic plays for, there is significant excitement about the player. In 2022, he was the MVP of the World U18 Championships in Belgrade, where Serbia won silver. Several weeks later, he led Serbia to gold at the European U19 Championships in Podgorica. Last summer, he impressed in Otopeni as Serbia won silver at the World U20 Championships, and has since gained several caps with the senior national team.
Kojic may not be the only young Serb departing Radnički for Berlin, though. It appears that Zoran Bozovic has also agreed to terms with Spandau, pending confirmation from the club, alongside Kojic's announcement.
