An encounter between Mataro and Sabadell was the big match of Day 3 of the Spanish League. Although Mataro started well, Sabadell took all three points with a 13:7 win and continued its winning streak. Sabadell is the only team with a perfect record in Spain this season (counting the league and the Super Cup, they played five matches and achieved as many wins).

The match Catalunya – Sant Feliu offered a lot of twists and turns. Catalunya led 5:4 at halftime. But, the visitors opened the second half with two early goals and went ahead (6:5) for the last time in the match. But, they couldn’t find the net in the remaining time, and Catalunya recorded a solid 10:6 victory.
Barcelona opened the game against Real Canoe with a 6:0 blast and that determined the rest of the encounter.

Mataro started well against Sabadell. The hosts earned a 4:2 lead in the first quarter. Sabadell produced a great comeback in the second period. The visitors, led by Bernat Sanahuja, who was outstanding, scored four goals in a row. They turned the two-goal deficit into a 6:4 lead. Mataro’s Brazilian Gustavo De Freitas Gumaraes converted a man-up for 5:6 three seconds before the middle break. Sabadell increased its lead to 11:7 in the third quarter and held the hosts goalless in the final eight minutes.
Sant Andreu defeated Tenerife for the first win of the season. Tenerife got off to a better start. The visitors had a 2:1 advantage in the first quarter. But, Sant Andreu responded with four consecutive goals, the hosts earned a 5:2 advantage and controlled the match until the end. They even had a 6-goal lead (12:6), but Tenerife reduced the gap in the finish. Tenerife head coach and most experienced player Albert Espanol found the net six times, but this wasn’t enough for a win.
As usual, Barceloneta found it easy to beat a rival that isn’t in a circle of the title contenders. Barcelona trashed Navarra 18:2, with five goals from Alvaro Granados. Milan Aleksic added four.
