The Final Four of the Serbian Cup will take place in Belgrade on January 28 and 29.
The draw for the semifinals was held today. If there are no surprises, the final will be a replay of the last season’s gold-medal match.
Two big favorites and the finalists of the 2022 national cup, Novi Beograd and Radnicki, avoided each other in the semifinals.
Novi Beograd will play against Partizan. Radnicki, which won the trophy last season, will face Crvena Zvezda.
Partizan and Crvena Zvezda have their chances, especially the Red Whites, who earned a point in the league match against Radnicki. Surprises are very possible in tournaments where one match decides everything and when there is no opportunity for makeup exams.
Still, the Champions League clubs are strong favorites. Last year, Radnicki beat Novi Beograd 11:9 in the final. Crvena Zvezda won the Cup in the season 2020/21 with a 13:12 (PSO) victory over Radnicki in the final.
Partizan hasn’t played in the final since the season 2017/18, when it clinched the trophy.
Novi Beograd is the only of the four semifinalists that hasn’t won the Serbian Cup yet.
