OSC beat Ferencvaros in the derby of the 15th round of the Hungarian League yesterday. The other matches were played today, and some of them were very thrilling battles. Szolnok and Vasas recorded big wins, while the tiny details decided in most of the matches.

Szolnok beat KSI easily, even though the league leader played without first goalkeeper Viktor Nagy, best scorer Filip Filipovic, center-forward Dusko Pijetlovic.
The most important of todayβs games was an encounter between two Budapest-based teams. BVSC hosted Honved, which had a chance to catch up with BVSC in points. The first quarter saw a lot of twists and turns. Both teams were taking the lead. Three minutes before the end of the second quarter, Honved went ahead for the last time (5:4). The hosts scored three straight goals and had a 7:5 advantage at halftime. Deep into the third quarter, Honved leveled the score once more (7:7), but BVSC responded with a new 3:0 series and jumped to a 10:7 lead. The visitors didnβt give in. In the third minute of the final quarter, Honved reduced the gap to one (9:10), but BVSC dominated in the remaining time and posted a 13:9 victory.
An exciting game was played in Miskolc, where the home team and UVSE shared the points. Miskolc had an early lead (2:0 and 3:2). UVSE took control in the second quarter and dictated the pace. UVSE had a 2-goal advantage two times (5:3, 8:6), but the home side could come back and equalize several times. In the finish of the game, UVSE had an 11:10 advantage, but the hero of the match, Miskolcβs Marton Magyar scored his 7th goal with 13 seconds to go and the match ended in an 11:11 draw.
A 17-year-old Vince Vigvari was the best scorer of the visiting team. This amazing goal was one of his four.
The encounter between Szeged and Eger also offered a lot of thrills. Eger had a 5:2 lead. The hosts scored four consecutive goals and turned around a deficit to a 6:5 advantage in the middle of the third period. After that, the teams fought a hard battle, while Eger secured the win 52 seconds before the end when it earned a 12:10 advantage.
After 14 losses, Tatabanya water polo players finally recorded the first victory in the season. They visited Debrecen. Early in the second period, Tatabanya earned a 5:2 lead and managed to keep a 3-goal distance until the end.
