The remaining four matches of the 15th round of the Italian championship were held this weekend. The best Italian clubs played their matches earlier since they competed at the European stage on Friday and Saturday.
The most exciting match of the day was an encounter between Roma and Iren Quinto which faced off in the famous Sports center “Foro Italico” in Rome. Home team Roma recorded a narrow 9:8 victory and climbed into the 8th place of the table.

Roma grabbed the important points in a very thrilling encounter. The hosts had a 5:3 advantage at halftime, while they doubled a lead during the third period (7:3 and 8:4). Still, Quinto didn’t give in and netted three goals in a row. The visiting side trailed by a goal (7:8) in the 28th minute. Quickly after that, Roma earned a 9:7 advantage. Iren managed to reduce the gap (8:9) with 02:18 minutes to go. The opponents fought a har battle in the remaining time, but there were no goals and Roma kept the win, which brought the hosts the jump to the 8th place, ahead of Quinto.
Fifth-placed Savona was the only visiting team that collected points this weekend. Savona traveled to Sicily where they faced Telimar in Palermo. The visiting side built a 7:3 lead by the middle break and that proved vital for their win (12:9).
Florentia beat Posillipo 13:9. After the third period, the rivals were tied at 8:8. Florentia opened the fourth period with two goals in 57 seconds for 10:8. Posilllipo immediately responded (9:10), but the hosts held the visiting side scoreless in the last six minutes, while they netted three goals for a 13:9 victory.
