Nenad Vukanić was a part of the Yugoslavian national team that clinched the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games. A few months before the 2000 Games, he won the Champions League as a player for Becej.
He has been working as a coach for years. At the end of 2017, Vukanić became the head coach of the French national team. Since then, the team has grown, slowly but steadily climbing the ladder at both European and global contests. He plans on expanding France’s success in 2024 when France will host the Games.
France achieved a historic success at the 2018 World Championships in South Korea. France’s male team, led by Vukanic, won the first place at the inaugural beach water polo world championship.
