Harry van der Meer had a respectable playing career in the Dutch national team and is today leading them as head coach. Van der Meer competed at the Olympic Games three times (9th place in Barcelona 1992, 10th in Atlanta 1996 and 11th in Sydney 2000). He was one of the most important players of the national team during these tournaments.
