Felipe Perrone, one of the most popular water polo players in the world, joined the Expert jury in 2019 after winning the Total Player 2018 award.
He has played in European elite clubs for more than 15 years and has won three Champions Leagues with three different clubs: 2012 (Pro Recco), 2014 (Barceloneta), and 2016 (Jug Dubrovnik). Since 2017, he returned to Barceloneta, and plans to finish his career in this club.
Perrone is a leader of the Spanish national team that hasn’t missed the semifinals at major competitions (World, European Championships, Olympic Games) since 2018. Spain won silver medals at the 2018 and 2020 Europeans, the 2019 World Championships and finished 4th at this year’s Olympic Games. He has won more than ten medals at big tournaments representing Spain and Brazil.

He had an amazing season with Brescia and Greece. He was always decisive on an offensive play, but he also played a very important role on defense this year.
4. Denes Varga (HUN)
Hungarian National Player /Clubs: FTC /Position: Left Driver
It is always a joy to watch Denes playing. He was again the leader and reference for Ferencvaros and Hungary.
5. Marc Larumbe (ESP)
Spanish National Player/Club: Barceloneta /Position: Center Back
For me, Marc has been the best perimeter defender in the world in 2021. His role is not so visible for the crowd, but it is a privilege to play on his team.
