Total Player 2022 by Attila Biro

December 10, 2022

Attila Biro has been the head coach of the Hungarian Women’s National Team since 2015.

During that time, he has achieved great things with the team, including leading Hungary to the gold medal at the 2016 European Championships, a bronze medal at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest, and a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

This season, he finished second at both the World Championships and the World League Super Finals, accumulating two silver medals.

Biro played professionally for teams in Hungary, Greece, and Italy, gaining experience in a number of European leagues. Upon retirement, he began coaching in Hungary with two of Budapest’s top mens’ teams, Ferencváros and OSC. He then transitioned to the women’s game, and coached the New Zealand national team before becoming the head coach of the Hungarian women’s team, the pinnacle of his career.
