One of the several famous players who put an end to their careers in 2022 is Igor Kovacevic.
The player, born in Novi Sad and started his career at Vojvodina, was one of the pillars of the best French club Marseille for 12 years (2010 – 2022). Playing for Marseille, he won several national titles and the LEN Euro Cup. He reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League twice.
Kovacevic was Marseille’s captain for the past six years and said goodbye after winning 7th place in the 2022 Champions League.
He played for the national team of France for a long time. Kovacevic competed at the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships.

Jansik was a real leader of the rejuvenated Hungarian national team at the European Championships in Split, where he was voted the MVP of the tournament.
3. Gergo Zalanki (HUN)
Hungarian National Team Player. Club: Pro Recco. Position: Wing
Zalanki made an enormous contribution to Pro Recco's successes in all competitions. At the end of the summer, he won the European silver medal, playing at a very high level in Split.
4. Alvaro Granados (ESP)
Spanish National Team Player. Club: Barceloneta/Novi Beograd. Position: Driver
Granados won two medals with Spain, playing excellently both at the World and the European Championships.
