Total Player 2022 by Vladimir Gojkovic

After the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Montenegrin national team passed through another generational switch.

But, Montenegro, which Vladimir Gojkovic has coached since 2015, managed to keep its place among the top eight teams in the world, winning 7th place at the European Championships and 8th at the World Championships.

The team proved its potential. In the following years, good results can be expected of Montenegro.

Vladimir Gojkovic, a 2004 Olympic silver medalist and former member of the Yugoslavia and Montenegro national teams, has guided Montenegro to numerous victories since 2015, including the silver medal at the 2016 European Championships and the 2021 World League title.

1. Francesco Di Fulvio (ITA)

Italian National Team Player. Club: Pro Recco. Position: Driver

After an excellent season with Pro Recco, in which the Italian club won everything it could, Di Fulvio had a successful summer with the national team - took silver at the World Championships and reached the semifinals at the European Championships.

2. Felipe Perrone (ESP)

Spanish National Team Player/Club: Barceloneta/Position: Driver

He has been Spain’s leader for years. The Spaniards had a great summer, winning the world title and the bronze medal at the European Championships.

3. Gergo Zalanki (HUN)

Hungarian National Team Player/ Club: Pro Recco/ Position: Wing

Zalanki was an important part of Pro Recco’s results and played excellently at the European Championships, helping Hungary to win the silver medal.

4. Josip Vrlic (CRO)

Croatian National Team Player/ Club: Radnicki./Position: Centre-forward

He proved his qualities during the clubs’ season with Radnicki and was the pillar of the Croatian team at the European Championships.

5. Ben Hallock (USA)

Team USA’s National Team Player/ Club: Pro Recco/ Position: Centre-forward

Hallock was one of Recco’s key players on the way toward the 10th Champions League and led Team USA to very good results in the World League and the World Championships.
