Elvis Fatovic has been an expert jury member for the Total Player Award since its inception, albeit in two different roles.
He coached Australia from 2013 to 2021, after which he returned to Europe following the Tokyo Olympics to coach Barceloneta. With Fatovic at the helm, Barceloneta had a successful season. The Spanish champion maintained its streak of trophies in domestic competitions. As for Europe, it won bronze in the Champions League, and achieved a historic win against Pro Recco in the group stage, beating them for the first time in Italy in the top-tier water polo competition.
