The end of the season isn’t near, but the first rumors about possible transfers have started coming.
The Italian website Waterpoloitaly published that Novi Beograd, a Serbian club with high ambitions, could get a stunning addition. Novi Beograd is interested in bringing Aleksandar Ivovic, one of the best defenders in the world!
Ivovic has been playing for Recco since 2010 (with a one-year spent at Jug in the 2012/2013 season), and he became the team’s captain a few seasons ago.
Ivovic’s contract with Recco will expire at the end of the season. According to Waterpoloitaly, Pro Recco proposed a renewal of the contract, but Ivovic received a great offer by Novi Beograd, which will be the host of the Final Eight from 2021 to 2023.
These are decisive days for the future of Ivovic’s career.
Besides, the Italians write that Novi Beograd, which will get the wild card for the Champions League in the next two seasons, is in negotiations with Olympic champions Dusan Mandic (Pro Recco) and Nikola Jaksic (Ferencvaros).
Novi Beograd, the club coached by Recco’s legend Vladimir Vujasinovic, already signed contracts with Dusko Pijetlovic and Radomir Drasovic, who will leave Szolnok after the end of the current season.
There are some other rumors regarding the transfer market. The Russian talent Daniil Merkulov is ready to leave Jug and to move to Ferencvaros. The Croatian champion targets Konstantin Kakaris, a young Olympiacos center -forward. The Greeks aim for Angelos Vlachopoulos, striker of Brescia, who could return to his homeland after the one-year Italian experience.
