Many of the Italian water polo clubs have started the Christmas vacation, but, one match was played today.
Florentia hosted Savona in the postponed match of Day 2 of Group D.

The first half was an even contest, but Savona dominated the third period and jumped to a 9:6 lead. Early in the fourth quarter, Florentia scored its first goal in the second half 7:9, but shortly after that, Savona responded with two goals to double the advantage (11:7), and Florentia couldn’t come back.
Florentia is still with no points, while Savona climbed atop Group D. Savona and Posillipo are tied in points , but Savona has a better goal difference (Savona +16, Posillipo + 14). These two teams were supposed to face off on November 28, but the match had to be postponed, due to the corona cases at Savona. A new date hasn’t been determined yet.

The next regular round of the Italian League is scheduled for January 16.
