The Georgian national team has made significant progress in the last few years. The summer of 2022 was the Georgians’ most successful season so far. They played well at the World Championships and caused some headaches for the favorites. At the end of the summer, they made it a step further and reached the quarterfinals of a major competition for the first time in history.
Georgia finished 8th at the European Championships in Split.
Since 2020, the national team and the best Georgian club Dinamo Tbilisi has been guided by Dejan Stanojevic, former head coach of Vojvodina, an assistant coach in Serbia’s staff and Kazakhstan’s head coach.

1. Alvaro Granados (ESP)
Spanish National Team Player. Clubs: Barceloneta/Novi Beograd. Position: Driver
Spain won the world title and the bronze medal at the European Championships. Granados, who had a very good season with Barceloneta, played a significant part in Spain’s successes.
2. Josip Vrlic (CRO)
Croatian National Team Player. Club: Radnicki Kragujevac. Position: Centre-forward
An excellent center-forward who contributed significantly to Croatia’s gold medal at the European Championships
3. Gergo Zalanki (HUN)
Hungarian National Team Player. Club: Pro Recco. Position: Wing
After a successful season with Pro Recco and an excellent performance at the Final Eight, he crowned the summer with the silver medal at the European Championships.
4. Marko Bijac (CRO)
Croatian National Team Player. Club: Olympiacos. Position: Goalkeeper
Bijac proved his excellent capabilities at the European Championships in Split, where he was outstanding.
