1. Alberto Munariz (ESP)
Spain National Team Player. Club: Barceloneta Position: Centre-Back
The complete player that every coach wants in his team. He can play any position (even goalkeeper, defending a penalty in a European Championship against Hungary) and this is fundamental in current polo. Super hardworking, modest, disciplined, one of the leaders of this year's world champion, Spain.
2. Ben Hallock (USA)
Team USA National Team Player. Club: Pro Recco Position: Centre-Forward
From my point of view, the most valuable centre in the circuit at the current time. His contribution was decisive, helping both the Pro Recco club team to win all the titles at stake at the club level, as well as the United States national team to obtain a 6th place in the World Championship and a 2nd place in the World League.
3. Angelos Vlachopoulos (GRE)
Greece National Team Player. Club: Novi Beograd. Position: Driver
A true leader, both in his game and in his behaviour, he led both the Greek team and Novi Beograd to very good results this year.
4. Gergo Zalanki (HUN)
Hungary National Team Player. Club: Pro Recco. Position: Wing
A lefty could not be missing from my top. Although my favourite left-hander is Konstantin Kharkov, I cannot help but highlight the fact that Zalanki had an extraordinary year. And not only is he the possessor of a devastating shoot (and he demonstrated it both with Pro Recco and with the Hungarian national team) but he is also one of the best defenders (among the left-handed)
