An experienced center-forward Ivan Krapic won the Olympic silver medal (2016), and the World Championships gold (2017), representing Croatia.
This year, he clinched the gold medal in front of the home crowd at the European Championships in Split. This medal has a special significance for Krapic. After the generational switch in the Croatian national team, Krapic became the captain. The title in Split is the first one he won as the captain.
At the club’s level, Krapic achieved big success playing for his first club Primorje Rijeka. Later, he wore the caps of Jadran Split, Aquahiara. Since 2020, he has been one of the key players of the second-best French club Noisy-le-Sec.
Ivan Krapic’s Top 5 of 2022

1. Felipe Perrone (ESP)
Spanish National Team Player. Club: Barceloneta. Position: Driver.
He has been playing at the highest possible level for years. In 2022, he managed to take a step further and become the world champion in Budapest, where he was also the MVP of the tournament. The bronze medal at the European Championships in Split is also an excellent result, as well as the 5th place in the Champions League, where Barceloneta narrowly lost to Pro Recco in the quarterfinals.
2. Marko Bijac (CRO)
Croatian National Team Player. Club: Olympiacos.Position: Goalkeeper.
His club season wasn’t anything special, but he made up for it all during the summer, especially at the Europeans in Split. He was not only the best goalkeeper at the tournament in Split, but he was someone who certainly had the most significant influence on his team of all the players in the tournament. In my opinion the Number 1 of the entire European Championships.
3. Francesco di Fulvio (ITA)
Italian national team player. Club: Pro Recco. Position: Driver.
The best player of the Italian national team. In 2022, he played in the final of the World Championships. He won the Champions League and all domestic trophies with Pro Recco. Di Fulvio has also been at the top for years, plays really easily, and makes his teammates better.
4. Gergo Zalanki (HUN)
Hungarian National Team Player. Club: Pro Recco. Position: Wing
By moving to Recco, Zalanki raised his play to an even higher level. He was Recco’s best player at the Final Eight, where he decided the final match. Also, he is a player to whom every opponent of the Hungarian national team pays the most attention. He reached the final of the European Championships, which was a surprise and an excellent result at that moment.
