Marko Petkovic, a captain and the most experienced player of the Montenegrin national team, started his career in VK Beograd. After leaving the Belgrade-based club, he was a member of several clubs in Turkey, Serbia, Hungary, Montenegro, and Spain.
Playing for Barceloneta, he has achieved his most significant success at the club level so far. He was a member of the team that won the 2014 Champions League, the first European trophy in the club’s history. Besides Barceloneta, he played for Galatasaray, Radnicki, Miskolc, Budva. In the past five years, he played for Jadran Herceg Novi and recently moved to Strasbourg.
After a rejuvenation of the Montenegrin national team, he became the captain.
