Dani Ballart currently holds the position of head coach for CN Mataro, a prominent women’s water polo team in Europe.
Before venturing into coaching, Ballart was a distinguished member of the “golden generation” of the Spanish national water polo team. He achieved a gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games and a silver medal four years earlier, which took place in his hometown of Barcelona. Ballart’s Olympic journey spanned four games, including the 2000 Olympics where he secured a fourth-place finish and the 2004 Olympics in Athens, where his team placed sixth.
Prior to his tenure with Mataro, he coached the Sant Andreu men’s team and the Sabadell women’s team. After retiring as a player in 2011, Ballart took on the role of sports director for Sabadell.
